05 - 11 November 2021; The United States Navy Warship USS Jackson (LCS-6) arrived at Jamrud Utara harbor, Tanjung Perak Surabaya on November 5th, 2021. On the next day, they carried out logistics for the needs while they are doing the exercises. The arrival of the ship to take part in the joint exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness And Training ( C.A.R.A.T ) 2021 in the waters of the White Sand Beach of Situbondo. USS Jackson (LCS-6) is a Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) type warship made by Austal USA. Launched on December 14th, 2013, the vessel is 127.4 meters long, 31.6 meters wide with a cruising speed of 47 knots (54 mph; 87 km/h).

In the 2021 CARAT exercise, the Indonesian Navy deployed 5 defense equipment elements and 10 Support Teams. These include KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai-332, KRI Diponegoro-365, KRI Singa-651, CN-235 MPA aircraft, and helicopters. Then the Kopaska Team, the MINEX Team, the Force Protection Detection Team, the Force Protection Team, the Diving/Salvage Teams, the Health Team, the Maritime Domain Awareness (SMEE) Team, the Legal Team (SMEE), the Marines (SMEE), and the Koarmada II Band.

Meanwhile, from the US Navy side, it involved USS Jackson, USNS Millinocket, Heli MH60S, VBSS Team, P-8A Poseidon. Also several support teams consisting of the Force Protection Team (SMEE), Public Affairs and C7F Band (SMEE), Medical Team (SMEE), MDA Team (SMEE), Legal Team (SMEE), Dive/Salvage Team, MINEX Team (SMEE) , EOD Team, and USMC Amphibious Warfare Team (SMEE).
